Kenneth Lee Money of Midland passed away June 3, 2022. A memorial service was held Tuesday, June 7, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland.

Kenneth was born on May 31, 1939, in Roby to Troy and Grace Money. Kenneth married the love of his life, Mary Lou Luxton, May 23, 1957, in Wickett. Together they had three children: James (Jimbo), Carol and Donny.

Mr. Money began his long standing career in the oil field at the age of 17 for White Well Service in Monahans. He retired at age 78 from Desert Downhole in Midland. He also spent many years with Watson Packer and Key Energy.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Grace; sister, Laverne Cambell; brothers, Homer Money, Bobby Money and Wilson Money; his wife, Mary Lou; grandson, Donald; son, James (Jimbo) Money; and brother-in-law, Lynn Luxton.

He is survived by his daughter, Carol Money of Chico; son, Donny and wife, Dawn, of Midland; granddaughter,

Jodi Money; daughter-in-law, Judy Money of Bridgeport; granddaughter, Kristina and husband, Jared Shellhorn, of Duncan, Okla.; granddaughter, Bre’Anna Dunham and husband, Riley Dunham, of Rotan; brother, Clovis and wife, Jaime, of Arlington; brother, Lynn Money and wife, Sherilyn, of Odessa; brother-in-law, Ernie Luxton and wife, Jaynee, of Weatherford; brother-in-law, Charlie Luxton of Archer City; five great-grandchildren, Tristan, Easton, Dally, Sunny and Jessie Kate. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends.

Honorary pallbearers were Joe Harrison, Tommy Stone, Owen (Sonny) Dobbs, Emilio Balderas, Larry Motes, Oscar Peters, Ed Lauer, Ky Hickman, William Browny Caton and Kenneth Kirkland.
