In the final quarter of the year, hundreds of houses across Wise County are under construction to potentially bring in thousands of residents.

Since Jan. 1, the county has added 892 new addresses, according to Director of 911 Addressing Wacy Beck.

Off Farm Road 3433 near Rhome, PMB Capital’s Bluestem development has started home construction. D.R. Horton is currently building the first homes on the 330 lots in the first phase. The 500-acre property will have 1,200 homes.

“We are thrilled at the grand opening of the Bluestem development,” said Peter Pincoffs, founding partner of PMB Capital Investments. “Its prime location near the DFW Metroplex with beautiful natural landmarks, and premium amenities intentionally designed to promote connectivity with the outdoors, offers future residents a well-balanced lifestyle in a charming community.”

Amenities on the property will include walking trails intertwined throughout the acreage, a resort-style pool with an open-air pavilion, a gathering plaza with an event lawn, stocked pond for fishing, a state-of-the-art playground and an expansive dog park.

Homes in D.R. Horton’s Rio Series will start at $329,000.

D.R. Horton is also advertising home sales in Boyd at Springhill South on Cemetery Road.

Homes in Springhill South start at $245,990 and range from 1,333 to 2,532 square feet. The development is expected to have approximately 600 homes.

The first phase of Reunion, across FM 3433 on the Rolling V Ranch, will open for sales soon, with homes from Perry Homes, American Legend and UnionMain Homes. Reunion could have up to 10,000 homes along with commercial development.

Riverside Homebuilders has several projects around the county underway, with houses moving quickly.

“Traffic is slower everywhere, but we are still selling houses in Wise County,” said Riversider Homebuilders and Lackland Holdings President Tim Fleet. “People like it up here.”

Riverside finished 40 lots in the Hillcrest Meadow North Phase 2 off County Road 4010 last week.

“We already have five sales. A model will open in the next 30 days,” Fleet said.

At the Wise-Tarrant county line, more lots are becoming available in Northstar. Construction crews are currently excavating for additional phases.

“Northstar is on fire. We had over 70 starts in the last 60 days. Everything is selling,” Fleet said. “We’re about to deliver another 113 lots for Riverside Homebuilders.”

In New Fairview off Pioneer Road, construction crews are moving quickly into phase three of the development.

“Fairview Meadows is sold out in phase two of 63 lots. We have 15 sales in phase three and will start closing those houses in December,” Fleet said.

Bison Creek Homes is beginning several projects. It’s second phase of Paradise Crossing near Paradise is starting construction.

“It will offer 35 beautiful 1 to 3 acre lots with wooded and open lots both available,” said Jonathan Bethune of Bison Creek Homes.

Also in the Paradise area, Bison Creek has several 10- to 30-acre ranches available.

The builder is also working on a new development in the Grasslands north of Decatur.

“We are working with the county on a beautiful new development that will offer 20 2-acre lots in the Grasslands area 5 minutes north of Decatur with fully and partially wooded lots available,” Bethune said.

Only a few lots remain available in the second phase of the Estates of Bison Creek off U.S. 380 east of Decatur.
