Freda Barrow

Boyd ~ Freda Gail Barrow, 61, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother went to be with her Lord Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, in Decatur.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, at Knob Hill Tabernacle in Azle, with Pastor Don Smith, Pastor Lewis McCartney, and her son, Pastor Shaun Barrow officiating.

Pallbearers include Jordan Karr, Cole Barrow, Kenneth Kemp Jr., Kyle Kemp, Micah McCartney and Kalvin Karr. Honorary pallbearer will be Roy Sykes.

Freda was born Nov. 20, 1959, to Fred and Margie (Lawler) Pickerell in Gainesville. She was a Class of 1978 graduate from Hubbard High School. Freda married Randy Barrow June 2, 1978, in Haltom City. They were married 41 years.

Freda was very proud of her children, grandchildren and family. Her heart’s passions were singing, music and being in church. She lived for the weekend to spend time with her husband.

She was an active member of Knob Hill Tabernacle, where in the past she served as a Sunday school teacher, worship leader and on the hospitality team.

Freda was preceded in death by her father and a brother, William Boyd Pickerell.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Randy Barrow of Boyd; daughter, Natausha Karr and husband, Brandon, of Poolville; son, Randall Shaun Barrow and wife, Angel Beth, of Poolville; six grandchildren, Jordan Karr and wife, Karleigh, Aricka Barrow, Emilie Karr, Ashlyn Karr, and Shaun Cole Barrow; her mother, Margie Pickerell of Boyd; sister, Barbara Joy Kemp of Summerfield, La.; numerous extended family and a host of friends.
