Jahzeel and Cristina Huerta of Decatur announce the birth of a son, Mateo Kaius, Jan. 13, 2019, at Wise Health System in Decatur.

He weighed 4 pounds, 11 ounces and was 17 inches long.

Grandparents are Gustavo and Griselda Reynaldo and Lilia Flores, all of Decatur.

Great-grandfather is Manuel Mares of Decatur.
