A local motocross racer earned a spot at the starting line at the 33rd Annual Rocky Mountain Amateur National Motocross championships.
Garrett Sharp, of Decatur, made the trip with his parents, Gary and Karin, to Hurricane Mills, Tenn. this week to compete at one of the most famous tracks in the nation. This is the 13-year-old’s first time to race in the event, which ends today. He has won over 100 races in the last seven years.
Sharp attends Texas Virtual Academy and races locally at Oak Hill MX and Freestone Raceway.
