Council to consider fee increases

{{{*}}}The Decatur City Council Monday will consider setting fees for such services as restaurant inspections, operating permits for public swimming pools, sign permits and garbage fees.

The council will also cast its votes for candidates for the Wise County Appraisal District board of directors and consider the reappointment of Terry Berube to the Planning and Zoning Commission.

The Decatur Chamber of Commerce will also ask the council for permission to close several streets for the annual Moonlight Madness parade Saturday, Dec. 7.

A re-plat application for a self-storage facility to be located in the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction will also be considered. The property is at 3172 S. FM 730.

The council meets at 6 p.m. at Decatur City Hall, and the meeting is open to the public.
