Meetings

City Council meets the second and fourth Monday of the month at 6 p.m. at city hall.
Planning and Zoning Commission meets the first Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. at city hall.
The Water District Board meets the second Tuesday of the month at 5 p.m. at city hall.
The Library Board meets the third Tuesday of the month at 5 p.m. at the Decatur Public Library located at 1700 S. Farm Road 51. The board does not meet in August and December.
The Economic Development Corporation Board meets the third Tuesday of the month at 8 a.m. at city hall.
The Decatur Hospital Board meets the third Monday of the month at 6 p.m. at Wise Regional Health System conference room.
Cemetery Board meets the second Monday of the odd numbered months at 10 a.m. at city hall.

Decatur Municipal Airport

Located one mile north of town on Farm Road 730.
Features a 3,900-foot by 60-foot runway with a 17,000-pound dual wheel weight-bearing capacity. Runway is accessible 24 hours a day and illuminated with medium intensity light.

Health Care

The Class 3A Decatur Independent School District has six campuses - two elementary, an intermediate, a middle school, a high school and an alternative high school.
