SWAP MEET IS HERE - The Wise County Antique Auto Club's Swap Meet is 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. today through Sunday at the Wise County Sheriff's Posse Grounds. Thousands of vendors and visitors are expected to arrive in Decatur for the annual event.

LAST DAY TO VOTE EARLY - Early voting for the March 2 primary elections ends today, and traditionally this is the heaviest day of early voting. Yesterday, 200 voted in the Republican primary and 10 in the Democratic primary. You can cast your votes until 5 p.m. today at the Decatur Civic Center.

EAGLES FALL TO HORNETS - The Decatur Eagles' season hit a roadblock Thursday night against the Gatesville Hornets and center Garrett Johnson. The 6-7 Johnson swatted away nine shots, spearheading the Gatesville defense in a 51-38 victory over Decatur in the Class 3A Region I area matchup at Granbury's Leta Andrews Court. COLLEGE OPEN HOUSE - Weatherford College Wise County is hosting an open house 1 to 4 p.m. today. Guests can tour the facility at 307 S. Cates St. in Decatur and visit with faculty and staff. Refreshments will be served.

FUNDRAISER - Boyd Animal Hospital will host a Schwan's fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today. A portion of Schwan's proceeds will benefit the Heifers Hoofin' it for a Cure team that is participating in the Susan G. Komen three-day walk.

BAKE SALE - A bake sale benefiting Wise County Relay for Life is at 9 a.m. today at First State banks in Bridgeport and Paradise.

SIGN UP, TEE OFF - To register for the Oil Belt senior men's golf association, call J.E. Carson at (940) 627-2244.

RELAY MEETING - The Relay for Life committee meets at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Wise County Sheriff's Office Court Room, with a team captains' meeting to following at 6:30.

UMPIRE SCHOOL - ASA fast-pitch and slow-pitch umpire school is 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at Decatur City Hall. Registration is at 8 a.m. Contact Mike Maxson for more information at (940) 577-1297.

CHILI SUPPER - The Newark Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary's 21st annual Firehouse Chili Supper is 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 6. The event will include a cake auction, door prizes and music. Supper includes chili, cornbread, iced tea and dessert. Cost is $6 for adults, $4 for children ages 4 to 10 and free for children 3 and under. Proceeds go to the Newark Volunteer Fire Department and the Ladies Auxiliary.

FUNERAL for Brenda McCloud, 64, of Aurora is 11 a.m. today at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Boyd.

FUNERAL for Sue Brady, 70, of Decatur is 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Decatur with burial at Paradise Cemetery. Family visitation is 5-8 tonight at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

MEMORIAL service for Prudence Thompson, 94, of Decatur is 2 p.m. Saturday at the Community Church in River Oaks. Coker-Hawkins is handling arrangements.

GRAVESIDE service for Willis Boydston, 78, of Decatur is 2 p.m. Saturday at Sweetwater Cemetery. Family visitation is 7-8 tonight at Coker-Hawkins.

MEMORIAL service for Evelyn Nelson, 82, of Decatur is 2 p.m. Monday at the Central Fellowship in Decatur. Coker-Hawkins is handling arrangements.

MEMORIAL service for Richard Grant, 73, of Bridgeport will be held at a later date. Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport is handling arrangements.
