VOTING CONTINUES - The rainy weather may have kept some voters away from the polls yesterday as early vote totals for Wednesday were 20 in Bridgeport and 51 at the Decatur Civic Center. Tuesday night's early convenience voting was heavier, however, with 75 casting votes at the Bridgeport Intermediate School and 38 at Decatur High School. Today, early voting continues at the Decatur Civic Center until 5 p.m. and the Bridgeport ISD administration building until 4 p.m. Early convenience voting will also be 6-8 tonight at an open house at Bridgeport Middle School.
WET WEDNESDAY - Rainfall totals from yesterday and overnight include 3.3 inches in Bridgeport and Chico, 3.13 in Alvord, 3.1 in Runaway Bay, 2.9 in Boyd and Slidell and 2.87 in Decatur. The rain is expected to end this morning. A flood warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for the West Fork of the Trinity River near Boyd from this morning to Friday evening or until the warning is canceled. Minor flooding is forecast for the area.
PINK - Paint the Town Pink is tomorrow, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on the Decatur Square. Wagon rides, bake sale, silent auction and lunch on the lawn are included.
BOOSTER CLUB - The Decatur Booster Club meets at 7 a.m. tomorrow at Prada Bistro.
BREAST CANCER AWARENESS - Breast cancer survivors will be recognized before the Decatur High School varsity football game Friday. All breast cancer survivors should sign in before 7 p.m. so the announcer can recognize them before the game. They will also be invited to form a spirit line.

TRAINING - Wise County will train volunteers for the Point of Dispensing, or POD, site at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Alternative Learning Center in Bridgeport, 1101 17th St. The training is to prepare for a possible bio-terrorism attack. Citizens are welcome to participate.
BLOOD DRIVE - Wise County Blood Drive, sponsored by the Decatur Rotary Club, is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the Decatur Public Library. No appointment is necessary.
SLIDELL FESTIVAL - The Slidell Fall Festival is 5:30 p.m. Friday at the school. The event will include a chili meal, booth activities and bingo.
