ONE OF THE BEST - The Slidell robotics team made it to the finals of the Texas BEST Robotics competition Saturday at the University of North Texas in Denton and finished third out of 13 teams competing. First and second went to Flower Mound and Marcus, both 5A schools.

RAIN - Overnight rainfall totals in the county included 0.9 of an inch in Boyd, 0.83 in Decatur, 0.7 in Slidell and 0.2 in Bridgeport.

EARLY VOTING - Early voting continues today through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bridgeport ISD administration building and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Decatur Civic Center for the Nov. 3 general election.

GIVE 'EM A TIP - The Chico Volunteer Fire Department will wait tables at IHOP in Decatur from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Funds will benefit the fire department.

LECTURE - Jeffrey Dean will give a presentation for parents of teens and tweens about the cultural messages facing today's youth at 6 p.m. Tuesday, at Decatur High School Auditorium. The event is sponsored by Wise Choices.

BOYD SPIRIT - Boyd Spirit of Christmas has applications available at all Boyd ISD schools and at city hall. They are due by Nov. 16.

TEEN COURT - Wise County Teen Court meets 5 p.m. Tuesday in Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Clay Poynor's courtroom. For information call (940) 433-3288.

FOOD CHALLENGE - Wise Electric Cooperative challenges other businesses in the county to fill the shelves at Wise Area Relief Mission. A custom trophy will go to the business that collects the most food. Call Lillie Hunt at (940) 627-2167 for pick up of food on Nov. 6.

BRIDGEPORT PICK UP - The Bridgeport Intermediate School is holding a merchandise pick up from a recent fundraiser from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the cafeteria.

COATS NEEDED - Bring coats to the Decatur Chamber of Commerce lunch at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Decatur Civic Center for the Spirit of Christmas coat drive.

RELAY MEETING - Wise County Relay for Life Committee meeting is 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Sheriff's Office Court Room. All committee members for the 2010 Relay are encouraged to attend.

MYSTERY THEATER - The Decatur Public Library's Annual Mystery Theater is 6 p.m. Tuesday. Students in grades 5th-12th grades are invited to join the Off 380 Players for a live mystery theater, snacks and solve the crime. For information, call the library at (940) 627-5512.

CREDIT SEMINAR - The Wise County Extension office presents a seminar on understanding and improving your credit score at 6:30 tonight at the Extension office. Topics will include why your credit score is important, why you should care about your credit score, what determines your credit score and how you can improve your credit score. The program is free.
