It’s a new season for the Bridgeport boys soccer team. That is the message as the Bulls continue preparation for their upcoming 2018 campaign, which will begin shortly after the New Year. Only eight months removed from losing in the 4A state title game to Kilgore, Bridgeport has returned the majority of its team – but will have a new coach. First-year man C.J. Cartwright is tasked with leading the Bulls this season, and although he has high expectations for his team, Cartwright wants people to remember one thing.

The Eagles return the 3-4A offensive MVP from 2016 in senior Daniel Inguanzo, but graduated the district co-MVP, Jamie Prado. Decatur will also be led by first-year head coach Christopher Benjamin.
