Track Regionals

Almost 50 track and field standouts from Decatur, Bridgeport and Northwest high schools are headed to Lubbock today for the Class 3A/5A, Region I championships. The action begins at 9 a.m. tomorrow with the first half of field event finals, followed by all running prelims and the 3,200- meter finals from 2 to 10 p.m. The action will resume Saturday morning with the second half of field events at 9, while all running finals will begin at 2:30 p.m. The top two finishers in each event will advance to the state championship June 5-6 at the University of Texas in Austin.
