Eagles tied for first at 7-3A tourney

The Decatur Eagles head into Thursday’s second round of the District 7-3A Tournament tied for first place.
Decatur fired a 324 Wednesday at Woodhaven Country Club in Fort Worth to tie Burleson Centennial atop the league.
Dylan Rottner owns a share of the lead in the race for the individual medal with Centennial’s Maki Cameron. Both shot 76 in the first round.
Bridgeport’s Kameron Brazier is one shot back at 77. Decatur’s Blake Lindsay was one of three golfers to shoot 78 to remain two shots off the pace.
Decatur’s Eric Gage shot 81, Dylan Erwin 89 and Charlie Shannon 94.
Bridgeport is in fifth place. The Bulls shot 355 Wednesday.
Scott Trinkel hit an 89 and Brayden Garrett 92. T Gardner and Raby Hawkins each shot 97.
The Decatur White team was third in the first round, shooting 349. Jansen Alker shot 83, Hayden Waker 85 and Matt Jones 90. Elliot Moon and Josh Murphy carded 91s.
