Coppell rallies past Texans

The Coppell Cowboys ended the game on a 9-2 run over the final three minutes to hand the Northwest Texans their first District 7-5A loss Friday, 47-46.
Northwest led 44-38 after Orlando Byrd’s three-pointer. The Texans would get a Jon Chidester basket with just more than a minute left to keep Northwest ahead 46-42.
Coppell scored final five points, including a Austin Mankin three-pointer to win the game.It was the only time Northwest trailed in the game.
Northwest opened the game on a 13-0 run and led 27-20 at halftime.
