Alvord edges Ponder, 40-39

Carley King scored five of her team-high 11 points in the fourth quarter to help the Alvord Lady Bulldogs rally for a 40-39 win over the Ponder Lady Lions Tuesday.
Alvord (21-2) moved to 4-0 in District 9-2A heading into its open date Friday.
King hit one of her three three-pointers in the fourth quarter as Alvord outscored Ponder 12-9 in the frame.
Ponder led 30-28 entering the fourth quarter.
The game was tight throughout. It was tied at 11 after the first quarter and at 22 at halftime.
Ariel Rogers added nine points for Alvord. Sam Hahn finished with eight, and Jordan Ward six.
Jessica Sprabeary led Ponder with 15 points. Madison Stout added 12.
