No. 1 Alvord rips Peaster

The No. 1 Alvord Lady Bulldogs took down former district foe Peaster 65-37 in the opening round of the Whataburger Tournament Wednesday.
Ariel Rogers led a trio of Lady Bulldogs in double figures with 13. Carley King added 12, and Marissa Schedcik 11.
The victory sets up a clash with the top-ranked team in Class 3A Abilene Wylie in the second round of the tournament at 2 p.m. at Saginaw High School Thursday.
