Bridgeport pitcher Blake Waldrep was close to being unhittable Tuesday night.
Waldrep allowed only a Colby Moore single in the fifth inning of a 6-0 shutout for the Bulls against Decatur at Eagle Field.
Waldrep struck out eight, including fanning all three batters he faced in the seventh inning. He walked three and hit a batter. The Bridgeport defense did not commit an error behind him.

Bridgeport gave Waldrep a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning, taking advantage of three hits and a Decatur error.
The Bulls added another four runs in the sixth on two errors, two hits and a walk. Drew Cunningham scored Dustin Green on a fly ball to left field. Kevin Coan drove in another run before Cody Henson brought in two with a single to right.
