The Northwest Texans powerlifting team took second place Saturday at a qualifying meet in Crowley.
Jeff Stevens and Colton Roelefs earned regional bids with their efforts.
Stevens topped the 198-pound division. He lifted a total of 1,465 pounds. Stevens finished with 550 pounds on squat, 350 on bench press and 565 on deadlift.
Roelefs took second in the 181-pound class, lifting a total of 1,295 pounds. He pulled up 500 pounds on deadlift, squatted 485 pounds and lifted 310 on bench press. Roelefs was five pounds shy of the meet champion, Marcelous Singleteary of Mansfield Timberview.
