Alvord enter playoffs with win

The Alvord Lady Bulldogs kept their momentum going into the postseason Tuesday night.
Behind three players in double figures, Alvord knocked off Boyd 69-51.
Jordan Ward finished with 17. Jennifer Ward added 13. Sam Rogers scored 11.
Boyd was led by Shelbi Tidwell with 20. Jessica Drake added 19.
Alvord jumped out to an eight-point lead in the first quarter and led 35-18 at halftime.
Alvord outscored Boyd 19-11 in the third quarter to take a 54-29 lead into the final frame.
As the third-place team out of District 9-2A, Alvord will open the playoffs in bi-district against the runner-up from 10-2A. Aubrey and Ponder entered the regular season finale tied for second in the league.
