Eagles advance to regional semifinals

The Decatur High School baseball team (21-10) did something that no team did this year – beat Glen Rose (17-6) twice. With the best-of-three Class 3A regional quarterfinal series tied at one game apiece, the Eagles took care of business in the final game by thumping the Tigers 11-1 Saturday evening in Mineral Wells. Decatur won the first game 5-3 but missed a shot at a sweep after losing 11-2 in the first game on Saturday. The Eagles will advance to the regional semifinals next week against Andrews. Details are to be determined Monday.
