The Decatur swim team is bound for regionals.
All eight members of the second-year program earned regional spots Saturday at the District 9-4A meet at the Denton Natatorium. The team also sported three silver medals.
The Decatur boys qualified two relay teams. The quartet of Dosson Lewthwaite, Daniel Smyers, David Talley and Daniel Jordan won silver medals in the 400-yard freestyle relay, turning in a time of 4:02.53. The same group finished sixth in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:48.76.
The girls team of Hayley Raasch, Dominique Pishotta, Hanna Galloway and Casie Morgan qualified for regionals in 200-yard and 400-yard freestyle relays. The group took fourth in the 200, swimming 2:08.70. They were fifth in the 400 in 4:45.66.
Raasch won individual silver medals in the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard backstroke. She finished the medley in 2:33.03. Raasch turned in a personal best time of 1:07.88 in the backstroke.
