No. 1 Brock runs past Boyd

The Boyd Lady Yellowjackets could not slow down the defending Class 2A state champions and No. 1-ranked Brock Tuesday night, falling 79-40.
Boyd fell behind 23-8 to start the game and trailed 43-20 at halftime. Brock added to its lead in the second half, outscoring Boyd 36-20.
Jessica Drake led Boyd with 20 points. She hit five 3-pointers and went 5-for-6 from the free-throw line. Shelbi Tidwell added 12 points and eight rebounds. Jenny Hardcopf scored four.
Brock had three players in double figures.
