State Powerlifters Shine

The Paradise High School girls’ powerlifting team was small but turned in a big performance at the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association’s state championships in Corpus Christi over the weekend. In the Class 2A competition, the Lady Panthers had three qualify for the biggest meet of the season and managed to finish third in the team standings as all three lifters captured medals. Briana Lambert took second place, while Bridget Meyer and Carolina McDowell both took home third-place honors. From Alvord, Priscilla Clegg finished eighth overall and Paige Klein was ninth. In Class 3A action from Decatur, Tamara Croft placed third among the elite and Chloe Dey was eighth.
