Staley raises average in Salem

While alternating starts at catcher with another prospect, Decatur graduate Joseph Staley has started to heat up at the plate for the Class A Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. Staley is now hitting .262 with four home runs and 15 RBIs. He’s hit safely in his last three games and is batting .297 over his last 10 outings.
