Rowden wins 50

Decatur’s Katey Rowden is heading to Austin. The freshman won the 50 freestyle Saturday at the Class 4A Region II meet in Keller. Rowden swam a 25:48 to win the race. Teammate Haley Dennard took third in 26:23.

Decatur swimmers earn regional bids

The Decatur swim team is bound for regionals. All eight members of the second-year program earned regional spots Saturday at the District 9-4A meet at the Denton Natatorium.
