The Paradise Lady Panthers closed out the District 6-2A schedule with a three-game sweep of Millsap Friday. Paradise (26-12, 10-2) won 25-16, 25-13, 25-13.
Hannah Runnels led the Lady Panthers with seven kills. Meg Arthur finished with 43 assists. Libero Candice McDaniel recorded 28 digs.
Paradise, the runner-up in 6-2A, will open the playoffs Nov. 3 against Bowie.
Vernon def. Bridgeport
The Bridgeport Sissies fell to the Vernon Lady Lions in three games Friday.
Vernon beat Bridgeport (9-18, 2-6) 25-23, 25-20, 25-16.
"We played really well the first game, and couldn't keep up the intensity and our passing really started to struggle," said Bridgeport coach Lynn Larson. "We had lots of offensive errors."
Haley Meekins led the Sissies with eight kills and four blocks. Lauren Richey and Jordyn Hulsey each finished with eight assists. Jessica Hartsell recorded eight digs to go along with four kills.
Jacksboro def. Boyd
The Lady Tigers took down the Lady Jackets 25-12, 25-20, 25-19 Friday. Boyd closed out its first season of varsity volleyball Tuesday against Brock.
