The Lady Dragons improved to 1-3 while the newly-formed Boyd program continued to struggle.
"It was good for us to reset ourselves and get back on track," Chico coach Brent Hand said.
Chico had a weekend bye before wading back into a difficult district stretch, facing Brock Tuesday.
"We have to really focus and work on getting ready for the rest of a tough district," he said.
Chico took the first game 25-16 and added wins of 25-15, 25-12.
Molli Umphress with 18 assists and Kim Workman with 13 set up the spikers for 27 kills, led by 11 from Mallori Moss. Hannah Avants added six, and with five each were Shelby Collins and Alyssa Bowyer. Moss blocked two shots and Avants one. Bowyer had three digs and Moss two.
For Boyd, Allie Voiselle put up four assists, Danielle Foster had two assists and a block, Sarah Sanders three kills, Chelsea Landes one kill, Paige Gittings five kills and a block, and Mattie Perkins two kills.
Chico played it close but lost last Friday's district volleyball match to Jacksboro in four games.
"I was very disappointed in the effort that was given," Hand said. "We need to find better focus and elevate our game to accomplish our goals this season."
After dropping the first game 25-19, Chico rallied to even things with a 25-19 win. But Jacksboro secured the match with consecutive 25-20 wins.
Umphress (22) and Workman (18) put up 40 assists, resulting in 37 kills, led by Collins with 12, Avants with 10 and Bowyer with eight.
Collins had 17 defensive digs, Melanie Gates and Bowyer nine each, Moss and Avants six each and Umphress five.
The loss dropped the Lady Dragons to 0-3 in district play.
