Bridgeport’s Maddux brings home medal

Jadon Maddux didn’t know where he stood Saturday afternoon after he crossed the finish line in the Class 4A 100 at the UIL track and field championships. Then the Bridgeport sophomore heard his cheering section. The results posted on the Mike A. Myers Stadium scoreboard confirmed it – — Maddux had earned the bronze medal. Maddux’s personal-best time of 10.52 seconds edged out Kilgore’s Jonathan Shepherd by .07 of a second for a trip to the medal stand.
