Though both teams stand at 2-2 in the 9-2A hunt, the Tigers earned the inside track with the lopsided win.
Jacksboro rolled up a 31-0 halftime lead as Alvord turned it over five times and couldn't slow the Tiger running attack.
The game was less than a minute old when Jacksboro took a lead it would not give up. A 65-yard run by Brandon Little did the damage.
The next two Tiger possessions also resulted in scoring runs for a 20-0 first quarter lead.
The visitors added a fourth touchdown on the ground in the second quarter and concluded the first half onslaught with a field goal in the waning seconds.
Alvord locked down the defense in the second half, as almost all Jacksboro's 267 yards of rushing were before halftime. Neither team could score in the third quarter, and the two exchanged touchdowns in the fourth. Alvord's came with under a minute to play on a 4-yard run by Dylan Barclay followed by Jose Luna's extra point.
Jacksboro got its points on an 18-yard run off a fake field goal by holder Taylor Speer. Speer also stole two Alvord passes, while the Bulldogs completed none to friendly receivers.
Barclay wound up the night with 58 yards all of it after the half.
The Bulldogs will need lots of help to get back into the playoff chase in the season's final week. Alvord and Jacksboro are tied for third place at 2-2 behind 3-1 Millsap, which will host Boyd for a chance at the district title. Jacksboro faces winless Chico.
