That left the Yellowjackets at 2-0 while four teams sit at 1-1, including Alvord, Millsap, Jacksboro and Paradise.
The 'Jackets took charge of this one early and never let up, pulling ahead 22-0 in the first period. A pair of Tim Fleming runs for 68 and 28 yards gave Boyd a 14-0 edge just seven minutes into the game. Colton Lyon added an 8-yard scoring run, and the 'Jackets even converted a bad snap on the extra point attempt. Cody Rothlis threw to Neil Livingston.
Junior Whatley set up Boyd's final score of the half with an interception, followed by a 44-yard pass from Fleming to Kyle Stearns for a 29-0 edge heading to the locker room.
Fleming added a short scoring run in the third period, and Edgar Lugo converted his third extra-point kick.
Brandon Bomar got the final score with time running out, on a 16-yard run.
Fleming accounted for 321 of Boyd's 448 yards of offense, running 14 times for 239 yards and passing for 83. Boyd amassed 365 yards on the ground.
Alvord's offense never got much going, with just 61 yards on 30 rushing tries and 47 yards through the air on 7-17, with three interceptions, two by Whatley.
Bulldog quarterback Trevor Hartfield ran 14 times for 26 yards and passed 17 times, completing seven for 47 yards. Luis Maldonado caught three for 36 yards.
Boyd improved to 3-4 and Alvord dropped to 4-3. Alvord hosts Chico for homecoming Friday while Boyd will be at Jacksboro.
