Ten Northwest High School track and field athletes survived a brutal District 5-5A meet to earn a trip to regionals last weekend in Lubbock. However, the competition was tough and that led to the end of a banner season for nearly a dozen local standouts.
Six Lady Texans qualified for the Class 5A, Region I showdown. Despite not getting anyone on the medal stage, the Lady Texans did not disappoint.
