Both teams earned spots in the Class A Region III meet in Humble Nov. 7.
The Lady Greyhounds won the title with 22 points. Saint Jo took second with 35 points.
Slidell runners Allie Staub and Bobbi Clemmer finished in the top two spots. Staub won the race, running 12:28 on the two-mile course. Clemmer finished second in 12:57.
Katy Stephens finished fourth in 14:22, a second and spot ahead of teammate Rebekah McGregor. Chanel Brewer ran 14:38, taking 10th. Sarah Davis finished 18th in 15:41. Fernada Martinez took 21st in 16:41.
The Greyhounds took first with 43 points, beating second-place Saint Jo by eight points.
Dylan Carnes took second, running 19:51 on the three-mile course. Omar Gomez finished fourth in 20:02. Cord Hankins took eighth in 20:24. Trent Myers ran 22:10 to finish 14th. Daniel McCasland finished 20th in 22:41. Justine Romine took 27th, running 23:11. Dyllon James ran 23:16, taking 28th.
