The DFW Lady Lakers select basketball team has two open spots on one of its two elite select basketball teams. The North Texas Showdown volleyball league will will get under way in May. The league is open to all incoming seventh through 12th grade girls.

Women's soccer league to begin
A new Wise County women's 7-on-7 soccer league will begin this month for all girls 16-and-over. The games will be played every Saturday in Wise County. For information, call Lori Palacios at (817) 308-6892.
Select basketball tryouts for sixth graders
A new select basketball team for sixth grade girls and boys is forming, and tryouts will be held this month. The team, which will practice in south Wise County, will play in competitive select tournaments this spring and summer. A new girls' select softball team is forming in the Justin/Rhome/Haslet area for girls with '96 and '97 birthdays.
