WC softball opening day

The Decatur Girls Softball Association has rescheduled its "opening ceremony" for Saturday, April 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to kick off the season. The event was set for this weekend, but organziers decided to move it because of the weather. There will be local vendors, raffles, great food and lots of fun games for all ages with some specialized skill training sessions, too. Prizes will be awarded to girls from each age group. Individual and team pictures will also be taken. There are a few vendor spaces left, and there is no fee to set up a table or booth. For more information or to set up a booth, call Terri at (817) 360-2433. This is a non-profit organization, and this is its main fundraising event for the girls and the season.
