Decatur High School basketball coach Roger Brown will be hosting his youth basketball camp in April for all boys first through fifth grades. The camp dates will be Thursdays, April 9 and 23 and Mondays, April 13 and 20 from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. The purpose of the camp is to have fun, teach fundamentals and form good dribbling, passing and shooting habits through repetition. The camp, which is limited to 30 boys, is $40. For more information, call Coach Brown at (903) 366-2791.
The second annual North Texas Showdown Volleyball League starts next month. The league is open to all incoming seventh through 12th grade girls.

Sixth grade competitive basketball team
A new select basketball team for sixth grade girls and boys is forming, and tryouts will be held this month. The team, which will practice in south Wise County, will play in competitive select tournaments this spring and summer. The DFW Lady Lakers select basketball team has two open spots on one of its two elite select basketball teams. Select softball team is filling roster
A new girls' select softball team is forming in the Justin/Rhome/Haslet area for girls with '96 and '97 birthdays.
