Admission will be charged at the Decatur/Springtown scrimmage at Porcupine Stadium. The cost, $2 for adults and 1$ for students, is being implemented by Texas High School Coaches Association to raise money for its "injured player fund." The scrimmage will begin with freshmen at 5 p.m., followed by the junior varsity at 6 p.m. and the varsity at 7:15 p.m.

Physicals for all Paradise athletes will be in late July. The girls' physicals will be 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, and the boys' physicals will be 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 30. Cost of the exam at the high school is $20 per student.

A coed softball tournament to benefit Laura Jeanna is Saturday, July 11, at Renshaw Park in Decatur. Jeanna was in a horse accident that left her a paraplegic, and all proceeds will go toward her medical bills. The tournament is $150 per team, and prizes will be awarded for first and second places. NEW BOUNDARIES - The Decatur School Board last night approved new elementary attendance boundaries to take effect with the opening of the district's third elementary next fall. Generally, areas on the west side of the district are zoned into Rann Elementary, areas on the east side of the district are zoned into Carson Elementary and southern areas of the district including much of the downtown area of Decatur are zoned into Young Elementary.
