Decatur baseball standout Cody Barlow is no stranger to success. He spends every summer traveling around the country playing against some of the best teams in the country.
Three years ago he played with the North Texas Vipers with great results. He helped lead the team to a third-place finish at the Word Series National Tournament in Lenexa, Kan.
The 14-year slugger was back at it again this year with the Lake Dallas Bandits. His team took first place over the July 4th weekend at Craig Ranch and qualified for the 2008 AAYBA Open World Series which started at the end of July. The Bandits won two of their first three games of the big event in Flower Mound.
Barlow, who will be a freshman at Decatur High School in the fall, plans to play all the major sports this year.
The Lake Dallas Bandits are made up of some of the top players in the Tarrant, Denton and Wise County areas.
