Softball coach Scott McTee ended a successful three-year run at Decatur High School on Friday with a thrilling victory over rival Bridgeport. Just minutes after his team rallied from six runs down in the last inning of an 14-13 win, he told his team during the post game huddle that they had just won his last game at Decatur.

The road to golf regional usually runs through Bridgeport where the Bulls have dominated the sport for the last 15 years. The domination came to halt Monday in Wichita Falls where two new teams put on quite a show and will represent District 5-3A at the finals next week.

One of the smallest powerlifting teams at the Texas High School Women's Powerlifting Association's state championships last weekend proved to be one of the best. When you have a trio like Paradise's Bridget Meyer, Briana Lambert and Carolina McDowell, you don't need a lot of help to take on schools with a full roster.

TODAY'S UPDATE
STRUCTURE FIRE - Bridgeport, Paradise, Lake Bridgeport and Decatur Fire Departments responded to a structure fire in Bridgeport at Wise County Tax Services on Texas 114 at Texas 101 around 5:15 this morning. Initial reports suggest the fire started on the backside of the building, possibly outside, working in and toward the roof. As of 7 a.m., firefighters were still working to extinguish the last of the flames and recover any undamaged records from the building.
