| I have no problem with differing opinions. I do have a very real problem with distortion, innuendo, halftruths and outright lies. In the political arena, unfortunately, this is all too common. In the race for Texas State Representative District 61 an honorable man and very effective incumbent has been subjected to each of these. |

| I can recall a day not too long ago when the former Mayor of Weatherford, Joe Tison, declared Aug. 6, 2006, Phil King Day in Weatherford. Phil King, of course, has served as our fine state representative for the last eight plus years and on that day Joe Tison lauded Rep. King for his many qualities including his commitment to his constituents, his skill as a legislator and his recognition as a principle driven leader. |

| One of the greatest assets Decatur High School has is its agriculture program, run by Mr. Elmore and Mr. Allsup. Recently, my daughter showed an animal at the Fort Worth Stock Show. Katrina had a winning day and Mr. Allsup was right there cheering and laughing along with the rest of us. |
