We have always been proud to be citizens of the city of Boyd. We are also proud of our son and grandsons who serve in the three branches of the military, one currently in Iraq.
They and all of our troops are the reason we fly a United States, Air Force, Navy and Marine flag at our business in Boyd, flags that were stolen last Wednesday night.
Whoever did this could not have known how much they meant to our family, nor could they have cared about the men and women who have fought and died for our country.
The Air Force flag represents our son, who will be pinned lieutenant colonel this month and a senior airman grandson. The Navy is for our grandson who is an AC2. And the Marine flag is for our grandson who is a corporal and currently serving in Iraq.
To the one(s) who stole them: If this is the height of your ambition, you haven't got much going for you!
