With the recent illegal annexations along West Main Street in West Bridgeport, the mayor and city council have once again shown that there is no respect for the oath of office taken by these individuals.
Therefore, they have no respect for the rule of law, the local government code or the Texas Constitution.
Obviously, the mayor and city council have nothing but contempt and disdain for our system of government.
We know that these individuals have no respect for the majority vote in Bridgeport. Therefore, they have no respect for the people of Bridgeport.
With no respect for the people of Bridgeport, where is their respect for the Bible - their respect for their families?
Who realistically believes that this audacious behavior can stand the test of time?
When the truth finally comes out (obviously these individuals have no conscience) who gets to shoulder all the humiliation - their families?
Former Wise County Sheriff Phil Ryan was quoted about some county issue by the Wise County Messenger as having said something to the effect of, as I remember, "when you hold the public trust and spend the people's money and keep sweeping it under the rug, one day you are going to trip over it."
With all the contempt and disdain shown by the elected officials in Bridgeport for our system of government and rule of law with the benefit of an attorney paid with public funds, what would we have in Bridgeport without the city attorney?
City ownership of Acme Brick Co. with the name change to Auschwitz II?
