Jim and Stefanie Nation of Wise County are to be commended for being good Samaritans and quick thinkers. They witnessed a young male grab a woman's purse in the Target parking lot in Watauga.
After a brief struggle, the man fled with the purse to a nearby car. The Nations immediately called 911 and were able to give the dispatcher the license plate number, description of the car and direction the car was traveling. Within a couple minutes, the car was pulled over and the individuals arrested. The police officers retrieved the purse from the car. Unbeknownst to the criminals, inside the purse was a ring valued at $15,000.
