| Funeral for Betty Cox Robinson, 80, of Chico was Oct. 13 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport. |
| Robinson died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, in Chico. Born June 19, 1929, in Chico to Ernest and Linnie (Ogle) Cox, she married Alton Royce Robinson April 2, 1949, in Boyd. She retired from Bridgeport ISD as an elementary teacher and was a rancher. She was a member of the Texas Limousin Association, the Texas State Teachers Association and Chico Ex-Students Association. She was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Alan Randall Robinson; grandson, Asa Royce Robinson; brother, Everett Cox; and sister, Pharine Walker. She is survived by her grandchildren, Will Robinson and wife, Jennifer, of Chico and Ashley Dunlap and husband, Philip, of Okinawa, Japan; great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Braylea, Adrienne and Brianna; brother, Elmer Cox and wife, June, of Denton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Brad Farrell, Nathan McConaghie, Eddie Cox, Ernie Cox, Van Cox, Eric Cox and Alvin Boner. Honorary pallbearers were Raymond Farrell, Billy Ralph Richey and Paul Simmons. |
