| Graveside service for Oleta Bender, 96, of Wise County, was at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, at Crafton Cemetery in Crafton with Kenneth Wood officiating. |
 Bender died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, in Wise County.
Born Oct. 22, 1911, to Charlie and Gertie Griffis, she was a retired cashier. She traveled and danced.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Dr. Benjamin Zeldin and Jim Bender; two brothers; and two sister.
She is survived by her sisters, Lela Duck, Genell Hopkins and Nelba Ruth Culverhouse; her daughter, Basha Blades; stepson Jim Bender; grandchildren, Diana Richey and Benjamin Richey and wife Ashley; a great-grandchild, Rylie Oleta Richey; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. |
