| Funeral for Therese K. Munnerlyn, 88, of Decatur, formerly of Dallas, was Oct. 19 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dallas. Burial followed at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas. |
 Munnerlyn died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, in Decatur.
Born May 22, 1921, in Schroberhausen, Germany, she married an American soldier, Don W. Munnerlyn, after World War II. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dallas, a gift shop volunteer at St. Pauls Hospital and cooked, played bridge and sewed. She was known as "Oma" by all of her caregivers.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, R.J. "Pete" Munnerlyn.
She is survived by a grandson, Trevor Munnerlyn and wife, Cindy; and great-grandchildren, Ryan and Kevin Munnerlyn, all of Decatur.
