Funeral for Billy J. Mann, 82, of Decatur was to be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Van Gardner and Dr. Bill Hughes officiating. Burial was to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Mann died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, in Decatur.

Born May 17, 1927, in Decatur to Robert Jay and Rosa May (Laird) Mann, he married June Lavell Roberson Sept. 6, 1948, in Decatur. He retired after 23 years of active duty in the U. S. Air Force, and he and Lavell were owners and operators of the M&M Food Mart in Decatur from 1970 to 1987. He was a member of the Decatur Masonic Lodge No. 447 A.F. & A.M., Wise County Scottish Rite, Moslah Shriner's of Fort Worth and was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Verna Lou Meador, Daisy Swift, Juanita Banks; and brothers, C.T., Robert and Jack Mann.

He is survived by his wife; son, Rick Mann and wife, Claire, of Friendswood; grandsons, Ryan, Dylan and Jordan Mann; granddaughter, Caitlin Mann; brother, Ernest R. Mann and wife, Margaret, of Arlington; sisters-in-law, Marcine Rebstock of Carrollton and Alice Ruth Mann of Mineral Wells; aunt, Lucy Combs of Burkburnett; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were to be David Stephens, David Meador and members of the Masonic Lodge.
