Funeral for Samuel T. Rose, 81, of Fort Worth was to be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Victory Baptist Church in Haltom City with burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Rose died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009.

Born April 23, 1928, in Decatur to Leonard and Gladys Rose, he was employed by Fort Worth ISD for more than 30 years. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Eva Jo Rose.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Edith Rose; son, Tommy Rose and wife, Connie; daughters, Sammye Herrod and husband, James, and Gladys Hoover and husband, Curtis; sisters, Elizabeth O'Neal and husband, Roy, and LaRue Washburn; grandchildren, Shawn Rose and wife, Christy, Chris Herrod, Cody Herrod, Julie Whitsell and husband, Matt, Tiffany Howard and husband, Josh, Elaine Schroyer and husband, Ryan, and Wendy Jackson and husband, Aaron; great-grandchildren, Alec, Jacob, Jordon, Victoria, Miah, Isaac, Gavin, Hannah, Jayden and Addison; and a host of family.
