| Funeral for Fay "Granny" Gilley, 79, of Bridgeport was Oct. 4 at Cates Street Church of Christ with Roger Rhodes and Shorty Fallin officiating. Burial followed at East Bridgeport Cemetery. |
Born July 1, 1930, in Springtown to Fred and Nora (Stevens) Hall, she married Tom Gilley May 15, 1949, in Olney. She was a homemaker and a member of the Cates Street Church of Christ, where she volunteered and was the vacation Bible school refreshment coordinator. She was a volunteer at the Children's Homes in Keller, Christ's Haven in Keller, Trinity Health Care and August Health Care in Bridgeport.
She was preceded in death by her husband; great-grandson, Rex; and brothers, Lewis and Gene Hall.
She is survived by her son, Noel Gilley and wife, Teri, of Paradise; daughters, Gladys Pewitt and husband, Jerry, of Paradise, Beth Andreasen and husband, Earnest, of Bridgeport and Tommie Jo Underwood and husband, Von, of Paradise; grandchildren, Paula, Calvin, Jeff, Ronnie, Christi, Julie, Chrystal, Garrett, Cody and Roper; great-grandchildren, Shayna, Taylor, Allie, Mario, Zachary, Fay, Conner, Madison, Cole, Tuff, Macy, Gunner and Kashton; sister, Sue Bentley of Bridgeport; and brother, Perry Hall of Decatur.
Pallbearers were Calvin Pewitt, Jeff Pewitt, Cody Gilley, Roper Gilley, Ronnie Andreasen, Garrett Underwood, Eric Rutledge, Brian Holley and Keith Eustace. |
