| Funeral for Wanda Fay McClure Morris, 76, of De Queen, Ark., was Nov. 5 at Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Van Ledbetter officiating. Graveside service was Nov. 6 at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Decatur. |
Morris died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, in De Queen.
Born June 24, 1933, in Decatur to Samuel Carson and Ola B. Caraway McClure, she was a homemaker. She was a member of De Queen Church of Christ, served as president and vice president of the Sunshine E.H.C. Club and was past president of the County Extension Homemakers Club. She cooked, entertained and listened to bluegrass music.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Joe Morris, in 2007 and her brothers, Jimmy Lee and Kenneth McClure.
She is survived by her sons, Jerry Lee Morris and wife, Kimberly, of Richmond and Don Kevin Morris and wife, Heather, of De Queen; daughter, Brenda Kimbro and husband, Van, of Dallas; grandchildren, Ryan, Kelli, Jeff, Amy, Beth, Haley and Jesse; brothers, Sam B. McClure and Bobby McClure of Decatur, Eddie McClure of Bowie and Jerry Joe McClure of Oregon; sisters, Lou Neally of Yantis and Sherry Minton of Graford; and numerous nieces and nephews. |
