| Funeral for the Rev. Billy Gene Shipp, 46, of Newark was to be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Abundant Life Worship Center in Newark with the Rev. James Hurst officiating. Burial was to be at Aurora Cemetery. |
 Shipp died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, in Newark.
Born Jan. 20, 1963, in Decatur to Barbara (Simpson) Shipp, he married Shelley Renee Hurst June 25, 1982, in Alvord. He was a member of the Abundant Life Worship Center.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Clint, Brent and Bradley Shipp, all of Newark; grandchildren, Keely, Brysen, Cameron, Brailey and Braiden; mother of Sunset; brother, Monty Shipp and wife, Karrie, of Aubrey; sister, Raynae Spain and husband, Cliff, of Decatur; father- and mother-in-law, the Rev. James and Mildred Hurst of Newark.
Pallbearers were to be Clint Shipp, Brent Shipp, Bradley Shipp, James Hurst III, James Hurst IV, Rodney Hurst, Buddy Harris, Chris Hobbs, Aaron Liverman and Dustin Webb. |
